Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy
Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy (Dr. DNR) graduated from Kurnool medical college, Kurnool (Andhra Pradesh) with nine gold medals. He obtained his M.D., in general medicine from Madras University, Madras and D.M. in gastroenterology from GIPMER, Chandigarh in India. Dr. DNR has started his career in the government and eventually started Asian Institute of Gastroenterology in pursuit of creating a globally recognized center for excellence in gastroenterology. Dr. DNR is widely recognized as the eminent gastroenterologist by his peers across the globe and is one of the authorities in the world in therapeutic endoscopy.

Dr. DNR has received many national and international awards and has been a visiting Professor at the most prestigious universities in the world including Europe, Japan and USA. Dr. DNR’s efforts, dedication and contribution to the field of gastroenterology resulted in him being awarded the Padma Shri by the Indian government in 2001. Some of the other awards to name a few include the honorary member of American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (2004), Fellow of Royal College of Medicine (Ireland) in 2003 (FRCP), Francisco Roman award for the lifetime achievement in medicine from Philippine society of gastroenterology in Manila (2002), Vidyaratna award (1996), American biographical award for outstanding gastroenterologist with contribution to world literature, Elsa Singapore endoscopic society award (1993) and Japanese endoscopic research award (1991). Authored several books on G.I. endoscopy and organized several national and international endoscopy workshops. Editorial board member of international journal of digestive endoscopy and international advisory board to Japanese society of G.I. endoscopy. In addition to his clinical achievements, he has been also involved in conducting research and published papers in the national and international journals of repute.
 
Dr. Krishna R. Devarakonda
Krishna R. Devarakonda completed his B.S. Pharmacy, M.S. in pharmceutical technology and post graduate diploma in applied statistics from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam and Ph.D. in clinical pharmacology from Kakatiya University, Warangal, India. He received post doctoral fellowship from DAAD foundation to work with Dr. Margarete Fischer at Bosch institute of clinical pharmacology, Robert Hospital, Stuttgart, Germany. He is also a recipient of prestigious Alexander von Humboldt (AvH) fellowship. He received research grants to a tune of INR 10 Million from various agencies like DBT, DST, AICTE, UGC and equipment donation from AvH foundation to establish cell culture facilities at Warangal.

He has 27 years of teaching and research experience and supervised the Ph.D. work of 17 students. He co-authored a book on clinical pharmacokinetics with Prof.Ulrich Klotz. He has 110 publications and 50 abstracts. Invited speaker at DURECT Inc., San Francisco, USA and at USFDA, Silver Springs, MA, USA in 2006, at School of Pharmacy, University of Otago, Dunedin, New Zealand, in the world conference on MAGIC BULLETS at Nuernberg, Germany in September 2004. He co-chaired tropical diseases session during IVth World Clinical Pharmacology Conference, held at Mannheim, Germany in 1990 and chaired many other scientific sessions in India and abroad. He is a reviewer for Indian journal of pharmaceutical sciences, Indian journal of pharmacology, bio-organic & medicinal chemistry, Indian journal of pharmaceutical education and Indian journal of natural products and Asian journal of pharmacodynamics & pharmacokinetics. He is on the editorial board of Indian journal of pharmaceutical sciences and Asian journal of pharmacodynamics & pharmacokinetics.
